Job Opportunity: HVAC Designer

Energy Vanguard is looking for an experienced HVAC designer.  If you have strong technical skills and are interested in working for a leader in the field of high performance residential buildings, we’d love to hear from you.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Desire to learn, ability to overcome obstacles, and positive attitude
  • Technical aptitude, including good math skills
  • Science, engineering, or design background
  • Good computer skills

You’ll need these essential skills:

  • Reading plans and specifications
  • CAD, SketchUp, or similar drawing tools
  • Understanding of the principles of building science
  • Construction and HVAC knowledge
  • Familiarity with RightSuite Universal or other HVAC design software

In this position, you will:

  • Work with clients to deliver outstanding mechanical designs
  • Analyze building plans and specifications
  • Enter building data into HVAC design software
  • Provide support in other areas when needed
  • Work out of our Decatur, GA office
