2 Home Performance Music Videos You Just Gotta See
Today I have a special treat for you. These two music videos give a whole new meaning to the term “home performance.” The first one came out in 2009, just as the ARRA program was about to crank up. The second one is from 1988, nearly two decades before Youtube. They’re both classics. (I would include James Brown’s blower door video, too, but I’ve already put it in another article.)
Double Panes
This is the one from 2009. I was co-teaching a home energy rater class at Southface almost every month that year, and when this came out we started showing it. I have to confess that I didn’t like it at first, but it’s really grown on me. With lyrics like this, how could it not?

Minneapolis Blower Door™ Rap!
This one’s from 1988, way back when MTV was still a cable network that actually showed music videos. And that’s Gary Nelson, founder of The Energy Conservatory, on the trombone (and rollerblades).
Have a wonderful Friday!
