Help Wanted: HVAC Designer

Energy Vanguard is looking for a full-time residential HVAC designer. Must have training and experience in residential heating and cooling load calculations, equipment selection, air distribution, and duct design. We mainly deal with forced-air distribution and conventional systems, including mini-splits, but knowing hydronics and GSHPs could help your chances.

We take an integrated design approach and work with all stakeholders wherever possible. Our HVAC work does not neglect the V, as we include ventilation in our designs. Knowledge of building science, HVAC design principles, energy efficiency and green building programs is essential, although we will train the right candidate in areas they need help in.

Experience using Wrightsoft’s RightSuite Universal is helpful since that’s the main software we use. Certification as a Mitsubishi Diamond Designer is also helpful.

Responsibilities: Following up with leads, presenting proposals, completing HVAC design projects, delivering results.

Our ideal candidate is detail oriented, analytical, and has good communication skills. You don’t need to be an engineer, but you need to think like one.

The job is in Decatur, Georgia (Atlanta metro), where you’ll work in our Toco Hill office.
